Shoe-Shaped Vehicle' IKONE Zero-emission Concept by Karim Guelmi

The IKONE is a concept three-wheeled vehicle designed by Karim Guelmi, a Montreal-based graduate from the University of Quebec in Montreal. The concept has been designed in collaboration with the Montreal-based company Fun-E Cycles. The one-seater vehicle is a vision of an eco-friendly society where humans could make use of alternative fuels for commuting.

The concept vehicle has 18.5-liters of storage space above the rear wheel. The design and strong DNA of the vehicle evokes lightness and fluidity as well as a symbiotic relationship between the rider and the ride.

The IKONE has been thought with the necessity to reduce its parts to a minimum, which further reduces the production costs. The electric engines of the vehicle have been designed to be powered by lithium batteries. Here's The Shoe-Shaped Vehicle' IKONE Zero-Emission designer by Karim Guelmi :

Green GT LeMans Prototype Design Car by Thomas Clavet

GreenGT LeMans Prototype | Design Car by Thomas Clavet
The Green GT LeMans prototype is a vehicle designed by Thomas Clavet, a transport design student from the ISD (Institut Supérieur de Design) design school in Valenciennes, France. The vehicle was created for Green GT, a Swiss company who specialize in cutting edge environmentally friendly technology for the automotive sector. Green GT are also actively involved in the development of racing vehicles and products which have a limited impact on the environment.

GreenGT LeMans Prototype | Design Car by Thomas Clavet
While the LeMans prototype is currently just a concept it does provide a hint at what sort of vehicles could be coming from GreenGT in the next few years. If the GreenGT LeMans prototype were to go into production it could utilize a similar drivetrain to GreenGT’s current electric race car. This vehicle is equipped with a pair of electric motors which combined make between 350 – 400 horsepower and a jawdropping 2,000 Nm (1,475 ft-lbs) of torque. In a lightweight composite construction vehicle like the GreenGT LeMans prototype it should provide for truly electrifying performance (please excuse the pun).

GreenGT LeMans Prototype | Design Car by Thomas Clavet
The exterior design of the concept displays all the purposeful and necessary aerodynamic aids found on current GT race cars, except on the GreenGT LeMans prototype there seems to be a clean efficiency to the overall design. The nose section is particularly successful and incorporates a pair of LED headlight into the front spoiler. The side mirrors look more like modern art sculptures than necessary safety features. Air brakes have also been cleverly incorporated into the front and rear wheel arches to improve downforce during braking.

Honda Indy Racing Car

Car Designs-Honda Indy Racing Car By Yutian Li

Car Designs: Honda Indy Racing Car By Yutian Li-The Honda Indy Racing Car project was sponsored by Honda and and the Indy Racing League. The vehicle’s designer by Yutian Li, is a graduate of the Transportation Design course at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Yutian also holds a bachelors degree in vehicle engineering and a masters in industrial design from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. The overall shape of the Honda Indy Racing Car was inspired by modern architecture – but more specifically Zaha Hadid’s work which is greatly influenced by topological patterns found in nature and has a high degree of fluidity and continuity.

Car Designs-Honda Indy Racing Car By Yutian Li
Yutian applied this theme to vehicle design by using a combination of blended surfaces, and crossing/overlapping shapes in order to bring a whole new look to the future Indy Car Series. Aside from bringing completely new forms to the racing world, the Honda Indy Racing Car has also been designed to offer superior aerodynamic performance. The large integrated rear wing located above the engine creates downforce over the rear axle.

Car Designs-Honda Indy Racing Car By Yutian Li
This downforce is increased once the engine is up at operating temperature because of the pressure difference between hot and cold air. The side panel directs the air to go around the wheels so that rotating drag is reduced. The air box on either side of the driver and the large air intakes in the front ensure sufficient airflow to the engine. As with all racing vehicles, driver safety in the event of a crash is the utmost priority. The driver of the Honda Indy Racing Car concept is protected by a structure which was inspired by the shape of leaves. This unit is designed to diffuse the energy of the collision, and at the same time keep the interior cockpit structure intact.

Car Designs-Honda Indy Racing Car By Yutian Li
Aside from keeping the rear tires firmly in contact with the track surface, the expansive rear spoiler also acts as a prominent billboard which could make the Indy series more attractive to sponsors. The stripe which divides this spoiler in two contains a thermally sensitive material which changes color depending on engine temperature. This is designed to add more excitement to the race and the spectators.via

Ferrari Car | Ferarri Zobin Concept by Siamak Ruhi Dehkordi

Ferrari Car | Ferrari Zobin Concept by Siamak Ruhi Dehkordi: The Ferrari Zobin concept is a creation of Iranian engineer Siamak Ruhi Dehkordi. The defining feature of the Ferrari Zobin is its diminutive size. At just 1855 mm (73 inches) wide, and 4114 mm (162 inches) long the Zobin is over half a metre (nearly 2 foot) shorter than a Ferrari Enzo.Inside the Ferrari Zobin is a single, central seating layout designed to as closely as possible recreate the feeling of being in a F1 race car.

Ferrari Car | Ferarri FSX Concept by Paul Kim

Ferrari Car | Ferarri FSX Concept by Paul Kim
Ferrari Car | Ferarri FSX Concept by Paul Kim: The Ferrari FSX (Ferrari Sedan Xperiment) is a concept by Paul Kim, a graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco. The Ferrari FSX is a four-door sedan designed to fit neatly into the Ferrari lineup. The FSX was, as are most Ferrari vehicles, influenced by the numerous successes of the Formula 1 Ferrari team. The concept would be a flagship model powered by a mid-mounted V12 engine.

Ferrari Car | Ferarri FSX Concept by Paul Kim
The intended market for the Ferrari FSX concept would be anyone who loves to go on road trips with friends and family with the thrill and pleasure of a race car, while not having to worry about lack of room or seats. The sheer power and energy of a naturally aspirated mid-mounted V12 reving closely behind the rear passengers would make it anything but a boring ride in the back seat. Aside from the stunning styling which goes along way to hiding the four-door layout, the FSX features some design elements which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The car utilizes floating A and C pillars which direct the airflow around the top of the car and funnel it into the engine bay helping to keep the V12 cool.

Ferrari Car | Ferarri FSX Concept by Paul Kim
Air is also passed through the pivoting rear spoiler to provide additional downforce, this spoiler also acts as an airbrake. At the front of the Ferrari FSX is an adjustable front splitter which channels air into the split radiators mounted on either side of the car. The splitter also provides additional downforce over the front axle while helping smooth the airflow around and under the car.

Future Motorcycle Design | Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang: If you thought super bikes – like the ones shown in the movie TRON – were only possible in sci-fi movies, then you can feast your eyes on this ultra-cool big daddy of all motorbikes you may have seen till date. Conceptualized and designed by Henry Wang, this super bike called Factor 4 has just one aim, and that is to blur any and all kinds of distinctions between sports bikes and dirt bikes.

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
To achieve this near impossible task, Wang has provided his bike a triangular frame; also the structural core of his bike. In fact, the strength and aesthetic of this angular form can be seen in all aspects of the bike from its nose to tail, and even in the wheel spokes, rectilinear exhaust and the gauge clusters. Apart from this, Wang has taken special care to enhance the performance, efficiency, safety and adaptivity of the bike. It is the overall enhancement of these vital four vital features of the bike which has lead Wang to name the bike Factor 4.

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
In terms of performance, Factor 4’s turbocharger draws the most out of its four stroke, 16-valve inline four, to push all the recorded limits of performance. Due to this triangular form, the bike has useful wing like structure that only aids its superior performance. For example, the back wings of the bike are lit and act as turn signals all the time — even under low natural light to ensure that the rider is fully visible to other vehicles on the road. Further, when the wings close, they ensure that drag is kept absolutely minimal. This allows the sleek, streamlined bike to cut through air and heavy traffic more efficiently. These closed wings also help keep the rider safe, and yet provide able room to navigate this machine.

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
These wings enhance efficiency of the bike to the utmost. The moment you take this bike above 80 km/h, it’s intelligent braking system will immediately deploy these wings, which then act as an air brake that gradually and safely slow down the bike. Due to this unique feature, a rider need not sit upright to brake anymore. Also while taking sharp turns at high speeds, the wings again engage automatically to counteract the forward momentum, and hence provide a kind of a gentle pull to swing the bike across hairpin bends.

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
As far as adaptivity goes, the bike boasts of a significantly wide wheel base that provides the bike with a lot of grip on both, streets as well as rough terrains. Adaptive suspension is another important feature that allows Factor 4 to ride in any kind of terrain, as the swingarm’s range of motion can handle both the stiffness and softness setups needed to run on any kind of surface.

Motorcycle Design| Factor 4 Motorbike Concept By Henry Wang
Lastly, for rider safety, Wang has ensured that the chain and rear sprocket are completely enclosed in the swingarm. This also prevents bike safety as it does not let any debris damage the drivetrain. Plus, all the moving and mechanical parts of the bike are enclosed in lightweight carbon fiber panels that prevent any damage to them and are consistent with the overall aerodynamic design.

Cool Motorcycle Design | Retro-futuristic, steam-punk style motorcycle by Matthew Law
Cool Motorcycle Design | Retro-futuristic, steam-punk style motorcycle by Matthew Law: Personal electric vehicles and motorcycles have always struggled to capture the ordinary masses’ attention as they are in their formative years yet. Many designers have come up with realistic ideas and promises of electric motor performances that are suited for road and race tracks both. Here is a futuristic design by Matthew Law, who does not simply add an electric battery to a conventional exotic sports bike, but instead designs a retro-futuristic, steam-punk style motorbike that uses modern manufacturing technology and looks as the bikes of future – say year 2020.

Cool Motorcycle Design | Retro-futuristic, steam-punk style motorcycle by Matthew Law
The inspiration for this model comes from various backgrounds. The linear elements are designed after cafe racers and retro motorcycles. The “hunched look” of the bike is inspired from the current street fighters. There is a block on the side of the bike for battery storage. You’ll find a cylinder holder underneath which holds a high power motor. When the motorcycle rides on high speeds, the side ribs light up emitting bright light.
